On August 4, 2026, a three‑member delegation led by Huang Yuanqing, Dean of the School of Stomatology of Hunan University of Medicine, visited Songgang People’s Hospital for a special teaching exchange seminar. Wu Haibin, Vice President of the Hospital, Zhang Xiaoting, Deputy Director of the Science and Education Department, Wang Hansi, Deputy Director of the Department of Stomatology, interns and other relevant staff attended the meeting.

The delegation headed by Dean Huang Yuanqing first toured the Hospital’s Department of Stomatology, visiting clinical treatment areas, clinical teaching venues and supporting teaching facilities to gain first‑hand insight into daily clinical services and clinical teaching models for stomatology. During the site visit, the visiting team had in‑depth discussions with clinical preceptors on practical training arrangements for interns, case‑based teaching and other specific operational details. They then inspected the intern dormitories to fully understand accommodation amenities, logistics support and safety management measures.

Following the on‑site tour, both sides held a special teaching exchange seminar in the conference room on the 9th floor of Building 1. The hospital delivered a detailed report covering its overall clinical teaching work, internship training programmes for stomatology, teaching management systems, teaching outcomes and faculty development.

Dean Huang Yuanqing introduced the development history of Hunan University of Medicine, the scale and talent‑training orientation of its undergraduate stomatology programme. He highlighted the university’s plan to expand internship bases in the Greater Bay Area and elaborated on win‑win development ideas for university‑hospital collaboration.

Wu Haibin, Vice President of the Hospital, stated that clinical teaching constitutes a critical link in cultivating medical talents. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to further advance university‑hospital collaborative talent cultivation and jointly improve the quality of stomatology talent training.

During the exchange, the two parties conducted thorough discussions on core themes including internship administration for stomatology majors, teaching quality improvement, long‑term university‑hospital cooperation and practical‑oriented talent development.

A special session for interns was incorporated into the seminar. Teachers from the university and hospital earnestly listened to interns’ feedback on their internship experience and learning demands, and exchanged views on internship management and teaching optimisation.

This seminar injected new momentum into deepening university‑hospital cooperation and elevating stomatology teaching quality. Building on this event, the hospital will further strengthen regular university‑hospital interactions, refine the practical talent‑training system, and elevate university‑hospital collaborative talent cultivation to new heights.
