On November 16, 2025, the event "Large-scale Free Clinic of Renowned Experts to Grassroots Organized by China Sexology Association & Guangdong Medical Association Academic Express – Sexual Medicine Tour in Shenzhen", co-sponsored by China Sexology Association and Guangdong Medical Association and undertaken by Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital, was successfully held in our hospital. This activity aims to channel high-quality medical resources to grassroots facilities, improve the diagnosis and treatment capacity of sexual medicine and andrological diseases at primary-level medical institutions, and meet the health needs of the general public. The event consisted of two sessions: free clinic service and academic exchange.
Free Medical Consultation Delivers Health Benefits to Residents
The free clinic was set up in the lobby on the 1st floor of Building 1 of our hospital, drawing a large number of local residents for consultation. Many nationally distinguished specialists in andrology and sexual medicine from Guangzhou First People's Hospital, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou Orthopedic Hospital, Guangdong Provincial Work Injury Rehabilitation Hospital and our hospital provided one-on-one health consultation covering common and complicated disorders including prostate diseases, male infertility, sexual dysfunction and external genital malformations. Free blood pressure and blood glucose tests as well as andrological scale assessments were also available on site, winning wide acclaim from residents.
Academic Exchange Boosts Professional Capacity
Meanwhile, a special academic conference on sexual medicine was held in the lecture hall on the 4th floor of Building 3 of our hospital. Attendees included Professor Deng Junhong, Chairman of the Prostate Disease Branch of China Sexology Association, Chairman of the Sexual Medicine Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and Director of the Andrology Department of Guangzhou First People's Hospital; Li Yu, Specialist of Guangdong Medical Association; Professor Jin Xin, Standing Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Sexual Medicine Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and Former Party Secretary of Guangzhou Orthopedic Hospital; Professor Zhang Yan, Vice Chairman of the Sexual Medicine Branch of China Sexology Association and Director of the Infertility & Sexual Medicine Department of The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University; Professor Chen Hui, Standing Committee Member of the Sexual Medicine Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and Director of the Neuro-Urological Rehabilitation Department of Guangdong Provincial Work Injury Rehabilitation Hospital; Zhang Xu, President of our hospital; Liu Yueguang, Committee Member of the Andrology Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Standing Committee Member of the Grassroots Urology Branch and Committee Member of the Urethral Disease Branch of Guangdong Urology and Reproductive Medicine Association as well as Director of the Urology Department; Yang Huai, Honorary Chairman of the Surgery Branch of China Sexology Association, Vice Chairman of the Andrology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and Academic Leader of the Andrology & Sexual Medicine Specialty, together with medical and nursing staff from relevant departments. The conference was co-hosted by Professor Jin Xin and Director Liu Yueguang.
Centered on the theme of sexual medicine, participating experts conducted in-depth discussions and shared cutting-edge research on topics including Optimizing CPC Endocrine Therapy, Hot Topics, Doubts and Difficulties in Penile Surgery, Thoughts on Management of Azoospermia After Laparoscopic-assisted Hernia Repair, and Practical Exploration of Intermittent Catheterization in Neurogenic Bladder Management. Medical and nursing practitioners from various medical institutions took an active part in exchanges, creating a strong academic atmosphere and effectively advancing the development of diagnosis and treatment technologies in relevant specialties.
This event not only provided convenient medical services for citizens, but also built a valuable academic exchange platform for medical practitioners in Shenzhen. It serves as an important initiative taken by China Sexology Association and Guangdong Medical Association to implement the Healthy China Strategy, popularize medical technologies and elevate grassroots medical service capacity. Our hospital will continue to play the leading role as a regional medical center to deliver high-quality medical services to more residents.
