To thoroughly implement the concept of high-quality development, continuously elevate minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment capabilities in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and strengthen the cultivation of young and middle-aged physicians, the Young and Middle-aged Academic Salon — Hysteroscopy Diagnosis & Treatment Technology and Simulation Training, sponsored by the Gynecology Special Committee of Shenzhen Bao'an Medical Association, was successfully held in the lecture hall of Songgang People's Hospital on October 11, 2025. Focusing on cutting-edge advances and clinical practice of hysteroscopy technology, the salon aimed to standardize physicians’ operational proficiency and build a high-level academic exchange platform.
Professor Liu Changhao from the Department of Gynecology, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University; Chen Guangyuan, Director of the Gynecology Department of our hospital; Huang Ping, Deputy Director; You Junxia, key specialist of the department; as well as young and middle-aged backbone physicians from eight hospitals across Bao'an District gathered to attend this academic event.
The salon kicked off with a relaxing ice-breaking session. Participants designed personalized name tags through painting and introduced themselves, quickly narrowing the distance between one another and creating a pleasant atmosphere for in-depth communication and technical exchange afterwards.
Centering on hysteroscopy technology, Huang Ping, Deputy Director of our Gynecology Department, delivered a sharing titled *Homogenized Diagnosis and Treatment of Endometrial Diseases from the Perspective of Hysteroscopy Development*. The speech was engaging with vivid clinical cases and clear logical elaboration.
Professor Liu Changhao from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital presented *Latest Advances and Surgical Tips of Hysteroscopy Technology*. With multiple operation videos of complex hysteroscopic surgeries, he illustrated new progress and operative skills of hysteroscopy, explained core essentials and development trends of the technology in an easy-to-understand manner, and shared a host of practical surgical techniques. His detailed, clinically-oriented report won unanimous praise from all attendees.
During the hands-on simulation training, participants were divided into groups for practical exercises. The expert team guided trainees to practice core skills including hysteroscopic suturing and electrotomy. With highly simulated training equipment, participating physicians received systematic, standardized hands-on coaching, effectively improving their practical operational ability and teamwork skills.
This salon not only provided a valuable learning opportunity for young and middle-aged physicians, but also further promoted standardized and homogenized development of minimally invasive gynecological diagnosis and treatment in Bao'an District. All attendees stated that they would take this training as a new starting point to continuously refine professional skills, making greater contributions to safeguarding women’s health and advancing public health services.
