On the afternoon of July 30, 2025, three guests including Li Guobiao, Vice Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Li Yeqing, Deputy Party Secretary, and Wan Chaofan, Secretary of the Department of Rehabilitation Therapy from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University visited our hospital to provide guidance and professional comments on trial lectures delivered by clinical teachers for the Rehabilitation "2+2" Innovative Program. Zhang Xu, President of the hospital, Wu Haibin, Vice President, staff of the Science & Education Department, the director and secretary of the Rehabilitation Department as well as clinical preceptors attended the activity. Focused on improving practical teaching capabilities, the event combined trial teaching demonstrations with expert reviews to create a platform for the innovative program’s teaching team to exchange experience and learn from each other.
The activity was held in the training classroom on the 8th floor of Building 2. At the opening of the event, President Zhang Xu extended a warm welcome to all visiting experts.
The core trial teaching session followed, during which seven teachers from the Rehabilitation Department delivered teaching presentations based on the curriculum of the Rehabilitation "2+2" Innovative Program.
After each teacher completed the trial lecture, Vice Dean Li Guobiao, Deputy Party Secretary Li Yeqing and Professor Wan Chaofan gave targeted professional evaluations covering teaching design, course content, teaching methods, classroom interaction and clinical integration, and put forward valuable suggestions for improvement.
The experts recognized the teachers’ solid professionalism and passion for teaching, and offered three key recommendations. First, adopt more student-centered teaching design with more interactive sessions and case discussions. Second, strike a balance between standardized operational techniques and personalized adjustments — for example, take patients’ different baseline physical conditions into consideration during muscle strength training. Third, integrate various teaching resources and apply intelligent information technology to assist classroom teaching.
At the closing session, Vice Dean Li Guobiao delivered a summary speech. He fully affirmed the remarkable outcomes of this trial teaching activity and set specific requirements for subsequent teaching work. He stated that the trial lectures fully demonstrated the profound professional competence of the rehabilitation teaching team at Songgang People's Hospital. Both parties shall further optimize the curriculum system to cultivate interdisciplinary talents proficient in assessment, rehabilitation treatment and patient communication. A regular teaching seminar mechanism should be established between the university and the hospital to continuously upgrade teachers’ teaching abilities through trial teaching training and regular academic exchanges.
The successful completion of this activity has injected new impetus into the teaching development of the Rehabilitation "2+2" Innovative Program. Taking this activity as an opportunity, the university and the hospital will further refine an integrated teaching model integrating theoretical learning, clinical practice and research achievement transformation, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality rehabilitation professionals that meet the demands of the new era.
