Dial 120
Call the emergency number 120 immediately once myocardial infarction occurs and provide the exact address. Clear all road obstacles if possible to save time for the ambulance.
Lie flat
Let the patient lie flat by themselves and adjust to a pain-relieving posture. Do not move the patient arbitrarily, otherwise blood pressure instability, vascular injury and rapid deterioration of myocardial infarction may occur.
Sublingual emergency medicine
Patients with heart disease or a history of myocardial infarction usually keep emergency medicines such as Suxiao Jiuxin Pills or nitroglycerin at home. Place one of the two medicines under the tongue during an attack. It dilates blood vessels rapidly to ease pain and slow disease progression.
Oxygen inhalation
Administer oxygen to the patient without delay if an oxygen device is available at home, which greatly relieves pain and inhibits the aggravation of myocardial infarction.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Start CPR right away if cardiac arrest happens while waiting for the ambulance. Multiple rescuers may take turns performing chest compressions and rescue breathing until emergency personnel arrive.
In-hospital medication treatment
After hospital admission, oxygen therapy and vital sign monitoring will be implemented immediately, combined with oral aspirin and clopidogrel.
Interventional treatment
Interventional therapy will be adopted if medicines fail to achieve satisfactory effects. Thrombolysis, stent implantation and coronary artery bypass grafting are widely applied to effectively relieve symptoms.
