Has been engaged in frontline clinical practice, teaching and scientific research for over 30 years. As the chief professor, the practitioner takes charge of clinical medical management in wards and emergency rescue for critical and complicated cases.

Has undertaken research projects under the National Major Science and Technology Special Projects for the Prevention and Treatment of Major Infectious Diseases including AIDS and Viral Hepatitis during the 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan periods, as well as multiple programs sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. Established a large long-term follow-up cohort for hepatitis C, and has published more than 70 research papers in domestic and international journals. Won the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
