Thoracic Surgery Dept of Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital is a specialized clinical department integrating clinical practice, scientific research, teaching and rehabilitation. It boasts province-leading technologies and rich experience in the treatment of critical traumatic patients as well as the diagnosis and management of pulmonary nodules, lung cancer, esophageal cancer and bullae of lung.

The department has 3 medical staff, including 1 Chief Physician, 1 Attending Physician and 1 Resident Physician.

It provides individualized one-stop diagnosis and treatment for benign and malignant diseases of the lung, esophagus, trachea and mediastinum. The department carries out extensive multidisciplinary joint diagnosis for pulmonary nodules, has built a mature rescue system for severe thoracic trauma, and specializes in VATS minimally invasive techniques.

5. Rescue and functional reconstruction for complex thoracic trauma.

Research & Teaching

The team has undertaken 1 municipal research project and 3 district-level research projects, and published 2 SCI papers. It participates in clinical teaching for medical students from multiple domestic medical universities.

More than 1,000 single-port thoracoscopic minimally invasive operations have been completed, reaching provincial and municipal advanced standards, and comprehensive treatment of lung cancer has achieved favorable clinical outcomes.
