Integrating medical care, teaching and scientific research, the Gynecology Dept of Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital undertakes the diagnosis, treatment and health care of gynecological diseases for a population of approximately 800,000 residents in surrounding areas. The department has 45 inpatient beds and runs nearly 10 specialized sub-specialty clinics covering gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, pelvic floor disorders and cervical diseases, with an annual outpatient volume of nearly 100,000 visits.

The department has a well-structured medical team of 49 members, including 10 staff with senior professional titles and 17 with intermediate titles. Serving as a teaching base for multiple medical colleges, it has been awarded the honorary title of "Shenzhen Women Civilization Demonstration Post" and the hospital's "Excellent Teaching and Research Section".

In terms of clinical techniques, the department features minimally invasive gynecological surgery and management of complicated critical gynecological conditions. A full range of hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures are routinely performed, with outstanding capability in Grade IV surgeries, reaching an annual volume of 260 cases. Sophisticated high-level operations are maturely carried out, including laparoscopic radical resection for gynecological malignancies, fertility-sparing radical trachelectomy and complex pelvic floor reconstruction.
