The Clinical Lab of Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital was founded alongside the hospital. After decades of development, it now contains multiple specialized laboratories covering biochemistry, immunology, hematology, microbiology, routine clinical testing and emergency testing.

The lab regards testing quality as its core foundation, relies on talent development to drive scientific progress, and continuously strengthens clinical laboratory quality management and continuous improvement for sound disciplinary growth. It has 30 professional technical staff, including 7 senior title holders, 11 intermediate title holders and 12 junior title holders.

The lab is equipped with a full array of advanced instruments: Roche fully automatic electrochemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, Roche fully automatic biochemical analyzer, automated hematology analyzer, automatic blood gas analyzer, urine sediment analyzer, 11-item urine analyzer, microplate reader, automated blood culture system and automatic coagulation analyzer. These high-performance devices deliver precise test results.

In response to hospital operation needs and patient demands, more than 300 routine testing items are available, including biochemical panels, blood lipid profiles, enzyme detection, tumor marker screening, endocrine assays, hemorheology, sexually transmitted disease testing and bacterial culture. A full range of body fluid examinations are also carried out.

The lab operates on weekends and public holidays, with a 24-hour emergency testing service available for outpatient and emergency patients. This convenient service has won wide recognition from clinicians and patients.

The lab consistently participates in external quality assessment programs organized by the National Health Commission and Guangdong Center for Clinical Laboratories, achieving excellent performance year after year to guarantee accurate and comparable test outcomes.
