On April 19, 2025, the Academic Conference of Imaging Management Branch of Guangdong Medical Industry Association, Head and Neck Imaging Forum, Annual Meeting of Radiology Committee of Bao'an Medical Association, and the 23rd Difficult Case Image Reading Session of Greater Bao'an District were successfully held in Songgang, Shenzhen. The event was sponsored by Guangdong Medical Industry Association and Bao'an Medical Association of Shenzhen, and undertaken by Imaging Management Branch of Guangdong Medical Industry Association, Integrated Imaging and Medical Engineering Management Branch of Shenzhen Hospital Association, Radiology Committee of Bao'an Medical Association, and Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital. The conference gathered numerous renowned national specialists to discuss cutting-edge research outcomes and clinical practices in medical imaging, attracting medical practitioners from all over China.

A host of leaders and experts attended the grand conference, including Professor Luo Liangping, Chairperson of Imaging Management Branch of Guangdong Medical Industry Association; Professor Liu Yi from School of Chemical Engineering, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University; Professor Li Hengguo from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University; Professor Wei Xinhua from Guangzhou First People's Hospital; Professor Shi Changzheng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University; Professor Li Heng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University; Professor Liu Liansheng from the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University; Professor Ai Tao from Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Professor Lu Shaohui from the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University; Professor Cheng Guanxun, Chairperson of Radiology Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association; Professor Liu Yubao, President of Radiologist Branch of Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association; Professor Sun Kai, Party Secretary of the Third People's Hospital of Longgang District, Shenzhen; Former Chairperson Xu Jianmin of Radiology Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association; Former President Hu Yuanming of Radiologist Branch of Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association; Professor Lu Puxuan, Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Journal of Emerging Infectious Diseases; Researcher Zhu Yanjie from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; He Zhenbin, President of Bao'an Medical Association; Mo Yaxian, Party Secretary, Zhang Xu, President, and Wu Haibin, Vice President of Shenzhen Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital, as well as more than 100 scholars and specialists from inside and outside Guangdong Province.

Venue One focused on imaging diagnosis of all body systems. Professor Zhang Shuixing, Professor Wei Xinhua, Professor Shi Changzheng, Professor Cheng Guanxun, Professor Liu Yubao, Researcher Zhu Yanjie and Professor Hu Genwen delivered brilliant academic lectures respectively. In addition, combining practical experience in Longgang District, Shenzhen, Professor Sun Kai presented Regional Smart Medical Imaging and Telemedicine Health Service Management Model, offering new perspectives for Belt and Road international cooperative research.

Venue Two centered on the integration of head and neck imaging and artificial intelligence technology. Professor Luo Liangping, Professor Liu Yi, Professor Li Hengguo, Professor Xu Jianmin, Professor Hu Yuanming, Professor Lu Puxuan, Professor Li Heng and Professor Liu Liansheng delivered excellent academic lectures. Multiple discussion sessions were arranged for in-depth exchanges among guests on lecture themes.

In the afternoon of the same day, the conference moved on to the difficult case image reading and discussion session. Young physicians from medical institutions including the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, General Hospital of Shenzhen University, Longhua District People's Hospital, Longhua District Central Hospital, the Third People's Hospital of Longgang District, Guangming District People's Hospital, Songgang People's Hospital, Shiyan People's Hospital and Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital presented a total of 9 difficult cases. Young doctors from Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University, Shenzhen Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, Bao'an People's Hospital, Bao'an Central Hospital, Bao'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bao'an Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Nanshan District People's Hospital, Shenzhen Orthopedic Hospital and Fuyong People's Hospital offered analytical interpretations for these cases. The venue enjoyed a vibrant academic atmosphere with active participation of young scholars. Presiding and commenting specialists conducted thorough analysis of each case, providing abundant diagnostic ideas for all attendees.

This conference not only showcased the latest advances in medical imaging, but also translated theories into real clinical practice through the hands-on difficult case reading session, helping radiologists strengthen their diagnostic and analytical capabilities. The conference concluded successfully amid a warm academic atmosphere. All participants stated that they had gained tremendous insights and looked forward to more high-level academic exchange opportunities in the future.
