On January 27, the General Meeting for the 5th Term Renewal of the Gynecology Committee of Bao'an Medical Association and the First Academic Conference of the 5th Gynecology Committee were successfully held at Songgang People's Hospital.
The renewal meeting was presided over by Director Wang Yuanju from Bao'an Central Hospital. At the meeting, Director Chen Guangyuan, Chairperson of the 4th Gynecology Committee, introduced the preparation work for the renewal and relevant arrangements, and delivered a summary report on the work of the 4th Gynecology Committee.
In accordance with the election procedures, all participants voted to elect committee members:
1 Chairperson: Director Huang Ping from Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital;
5 Vice Chairpersons: Director Wang Yuanju (Bao'an Central Hospital), Director Wang Yan (Shenzhen Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital), Director Li Dazhi (Bao'an People's Hospital), Director Zhou Feng (Bao'an Fuyong People's Hospital), Director Zhong Zhaomei (Bao'an Shiyan People's Hospital);
2 Standing Committee Members: Director Lin Anping (Bao'an Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital), Director Fan Li (Bao'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine);
2 Committee Secretaries: You Junxia, Feng Guodan.
In addition, Director Chen Guangyuan from Bao'an District Songgang People's Hospital was appointed Honorary Chairperson. Director Huang Guangrong (Bao'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine), Director Wu Qingli (Bao'an Fuyong People's Hospital) and Director Rong Chunfeng (Shenzhen Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital) were invited as committee advisors.
The newly elected Chairperson Huang Ping of the 5th Committee stated that under the leadership of Chairperson Chen Guangyuan, the 4th Gynecology Committee had lifted the academic influence of the Gynecology Committee of Bao'an Medical Association to an unprecedented level through the joint efforts of all gynecological practitioners across the district. During the coming five-year term, the committee will keep learning from predecessors and forge ahead with strong support and guidance from Chen Guangyuan, Huang Guangrong, Wu Qingli, Rong Chunfeng and other senior experts. Relying on Bao'an Medical Association and uniting all peers, the committee will further expand its influence, build a supportive community for all gynecological practitioners in Bao'an and provide a development platform for young physicians. Moving forward, the committee will carry out in-depth academic discussions and experience exchanges, devote itself to scientific research and clinical practice related to women’s health, share resources and promote the physical and mental health of all women.
After the renewal meeting, the newly elected standing committee members held a special discussion to arrange and deploy follow-up work of the committee.
Subsequently, the First Academic Conference of the 5th Gynecology Committee commenced. Mo Yaxian, Party Secretary of Songgang People's Hospital, delivered an opening speech, extending congratulations to all newly elected committee members. She expressed confidence that under the leadership and support of Bao'an Medical Association, the current committee would take promoting women’s health and well-being as its mission, pursue innovation and exploration, and build robust platforms for academic and practical exchanges. The committee will strive to make new contributions to women’s health in Bao'an, expand its influence nationwide and globally, and bring benefits to women.
During the conference, Director Chen Guangyuan from Songgang People's Hospital gave a lecture titled Surgical Skills and Quality Control of Laparoscopic Radical Hysterectomy. He reviewed relevant surgical classifications and shared detailed operating experience with exquisite surgical videos, broadening the horizons of all participants. Director Lin Anping, Gynecology Department of Bao'an Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital, delivered a presentation on the Application of High-intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) in Gynecological Diseases. He traced the origin and evolution of HIFU, illustrated its wide application and curative effects in multiple gynecological fields, and offered new therapeutic ideas for difficult clinical cases. The academic conference received high recognition from all committee members.
