在坚持走中医药为主特色发展之路的同时,医院紧抓现代医疗技术,实现中医药技术强硬,现代医疗技术领先的发展局面,目前我院拥有国产高端3.0T磁共振机—西门子prisma及联影uMR880、强脉冲光治疗系统等高精尖设备。开展心脏检查,高清血管壁成像,脑灌注,脑脊液测速及海马体积测量;开展各种MR特殊检查,CT能够开展QCT(CT骨密度测量)、全身各部位血管成像,CT脑灌注及全身各部位能量成像。下腔静脉滤器植入及回收术、超选择性肾上腺动脉栓塞术、胶囊胃镜检查等多项先进手术及检验检查技术。
医院高度重视科教工作。现为国家中医住院医师规范化培训主基地、广州中医药大学第七临床医学院、广州中医药大学研究生培养基地、多家中医药高等院校教学医院,国家级博士后科研工作站、广东省及深圳市博士后创新实践基地,国家医学攻关产教融合创新平台宝安分中心,宝安区针灸临床研究中心挂靠单位。作为临床医学院,医院拥有占地面积1500㎡的基础科学研究公共平台中心实验室,拥有实验工作人员3名和在站博士后13名。同时,打造占地面积约2000㎡的中药临床研究室,开展中药制剂的研发及质量标准、中药复方药效物质基础及作用机制、毒性中药血药浓度监测及临床应用等研究,研制出已获得院内制剂批文的制剂17个,正在申报批文3个,进入研发21个。在研PI核心科研团队12个,2023年-2025年成功立项各级科研项目291项,其中国家自然科学基金项目13项,博士后基金项目3项,省部级科研项目7项,医院独立开展的《基于'调神固本'理论肝肾脾胃养护疗法干预'治未病'的临床及机制研究》项目获中国中医药研究促进会“2024年科技进步奖一等奖”。拥有占地面积3200㎡的技能培训中心,提升住培学员临床应对能力及专业技术水平。

Shenzhen Bao’an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (Group) is located in Bao’an District, western Shenzhen, within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It evolved from Bao’an District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, which was founded in 1988. The hospital is a comprehensive national tertiary Grade A TCM hospital (group) integrating medical care, research, teaching, prevention, health maintenance, and rehabilitation. It is a public hospital. The group has established a three-level diagnosis and treatment system consisting of “Main Hospital – Branch Hospitals – Community Health Centers”, aiming to become a regional TCM hub integrating “medical care, teaching, research, industry, culture, and wellness”, and a smart, modern, leading TCM hospital group. At present, the group consists of “1 main hospital (Bao’an District TCM Hospital), 2 branch hospitals (Acupuncture Hospital, Yanluo Hospital), and 21 community health centers”, which are located in Xin’an, Xixiang, Fuyong, Songgang, Shajing, Yanluo and other subdistricts, basically forming a district-wide TCM service network.
Bao’an District TCM Hospital (the main hospital) is a Guangdong Provincial Famous TCM Hospital, a non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, the Seventh Clinical Medical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a national TCM residency training base, a national top 100 TCM hospital (rated A or above for 7 consecutive years in the national tertiary public hospital performance evaluation), a national post-doctoral research station, the Bao’an Branch of the National Engineering Research Center for Integration of Industry and Education in Medical Breakthroughs, a national standardized cardiac rehabilitation center, a national chest pain center, a national stroke center, the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Concept Validation Center (Qianhai) and Bao’an District TCM Hospital Key TCM Technology Concept Validation Center, the second batch of national pilot units for TCM culture construction in TCM hospitals, the third batch of national pilot units for preventive healthcare (TCM for disease prevention), a Guangdong provincial pilot unit for TCM disease prevention, a Guangdong provincial pilot unit for TCM classic ward construction, a Guangdong provincial smart TCM hospital construction unit, and a Guangdong provincial top 100 civilized hospital.
The hospital has 1 expert receiving the State Council Special Allowance, 1 expert receiving the Shenzhen Special Allowance, 10 provincial TCM masters, 15 municipal and district TCM masters, 3 Bao’an District chief experts, 100 doctors (29 post-doctoral fellows), 423 master’s degree holders, 346 senior professional titles, 10 doctoral supervisors, and 74 master’s supervisors. The hospital has cultivated leading figures such as Yin Jianping, Jin Yuanlin, Song Yinzhi as provincial TCM masters. It has also introduced renowned domestic teams; these include the Shenzhen High-level TCM Medical Team – Evidence-based TCM team led by Researcher Shang Hongcai (Cardiology Department) from Dongzhimen Hospital Affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine; the Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Liver Disease Expert Team led by Professor Lyu Wenliang from Guang’anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; the TCM Rehabilitation Team led by Professor Chen Lidian from the Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; the Acupuncture Team led by Professor Fu Wenbin, the Dermatology Research Team led by Professor Lu Chuanjian, and the Chronic Disease Management Team (Nursing) led by Professor Liu Xusheng from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine; the TCM Preparation Development and Translational Pharmacology Research Team led by Professor Liu Zhongqiu from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine; and the Bao’an District High-level Medical Team – Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Oncology Team led by Professor Lin Lizhu. The hospital has also established several renowned TCM expert studios.
The hospital has 1,000 beds, 47 clinical departments, and 10 technical departments. To further highlight the advantages of TCM, the hospital focuses on “specialty, specific disease, expert, specific medicine, specific technique” to differentiate and build a cluster of superior disciplines. It boasts 1 national key clinical TCM specialty (Rehabilitation), 3 national TCM advantage specialty construction units (Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Critical Care Medicine), 1 provincial TCM famous specialty (Rehabilitation), 1 provincial key TCM discipline (Rehabilitation), 1 provincial high-level key clinical TCM specialty (Rehabilitation), 1 provincial key clinical TCM specialty (Orthopedics and Traumatology), 12 provincial key TCM specialties, 10 municipal key and characteristic TCM specialties, 1 provincial demonstration community health center (Baowen CHC), and 5 provincial TCM general practice primary training bases.
While adhering to TCM as the mainstay, the hospital also keeps pace with modern medical technology, achieving strong TCM capabilities and leading modern medical technology. At present, the hospital is equipped with high-end domestic 3.0T MRI systems (Siemens Prisma and United Imaging uMR880), intense pulsed light therapy systems, and other advanced equipment. It performs cardiac examinations, high-definition vessel wall imaging, cerebral perfusion, cerebrospinal fluid velocity measurement, and hippocampal volume measurement; various special MR examinations; CT can perform QCT (CT bone mineral density measurement), whole-body vascular imaging, CT brain perfusion, and whole-body energy imaging. Advanced procedures and diagnostic techniques include inferior vena cava filter implantation and retrieval, superselective adrenal artery embolization, and capsule gastroscopy.
The hospital places great emphasis on scientific research and education. It is a national TCM residency training base, the Seventh Clinical Medical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a postgraduate training base of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a teaching hospital for multiple TCM universities, a national post-doctoral research station, a Guangdong provincial and Shenzhen municipal post-doctoral innovation practice base, the Bao’an Branch of the National Engineering Research Center for Integration of Industry and Education in Medical Breakthroughs, and the affiliate of Bao’an District Acupuncture Clinical Research Center. As a clinical medical college, the hospital has a central laboratory with a floor area of 1,500 m² as a basic science research public platform, staffed by 3 laboratory technicians and 13 post-doctoral fellows. In addition, it has established a TCM clinical research laboratory covering about 2,000 m², engaging in the development and quality standards of TCM preparations, research on the pharmacodynamic material basis and mechanism of TCM compound formulas, monitoring of blood concentration and clinical application of toxic TCM herbs. The hospital has developed 17 preparations with approved hospital preparation licenses, 3 under application, and 21 under research and development. There are 12 principal investigator (PI) core research teams. From 2023 to 2025, the hospital successfully secured 291 research projects at various levels, including 13 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 post-doctoral foundation projects, and 7 provincial or ministerial research projects. The hospital’s independently conducted project “Clinical and Mechanistic Study on Liver, Kidney, Spleen and Stomach Nourishing Therapy for Disease Prevention Based on the Theory of ‘Regulating Spirit and Consolidating Root’” won the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award 2024 from the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Promotion. The hospital also has a skills training center covering 3,200 m², which enhances the clinical competence and professional skills of residents.
