Haihua Community Healthcare Center is located on the first floor of Building A, Xin'an Garden, District 48, Xin'an Sub-district, Bao'an District, Shenzhen. It was established in August 1997 and is the first community healthcare center run by Shenzhen Bao'an People's Hospital. With an area of approximately 1003m², the premises are leased from Fanshen Village Share-holding Company. The jurisdiction area is about 2.1 square kilometers. Its service scope covers two communities, namely District 48 and District 50 in the vicinity. The total population of the community is 68,765, among which the total registered population is 6,532, the permanent residents with residence permits are 38000, and other people are 6,613. Currently, there are totally 28 staffs in the center, including 1 Chief Physician, 12 Attending Physicians, 3 Physicians, 2 Associate Chief Nurses, 4 Nurse-in-charges, 1 nurse, 2 Chief Pharmacists, 2 cashiers, 1 B-ultrasound technician, and 1 laboratory technician.
The service items of Haihua Community Healthcare Center include general practice diagnosis and treatment, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, child healthcare, rehabilitation physiotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine, laboratory tests, B - ultrasound, and dentistry. It has general practice clinics, laboratories, physiotherapy rooms, dressing change rooms, treatment rooms, vaccination rooms, child healthcare rooms, women's healthcare rooms, B - ultrasound and electrocardiogram rooms, and oral healthcare rooms. It is responsible for fulfilling the six functions required by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and the Health Commission, covering nine public health service packages including community diagnosis, residents' health records, community health education and health promotion, community vaccination and infectious disease prevention and control, community women's health care, community child health care, comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases in the community, community elderly health care, community rehabilitation, community mental health, general practice diagnosis and treatment, and community nursing. It also provides family doctor services and the services of appropriate traditional Chinese medicine techniques in the community.
Haihua Community Healthcare Center is not only a community training base for general practice medicine, and also a community rehabilitation base for the disabled. It is a pilot unit for mental health services in the community. And it has been rated as an A - level community health service center in the year - end assessment of Shenzhen and one of the top ten community health service centers in Bao'an District.
