Department profile
The Pharmacy Department includes several divisions, such as outpatient and emergency pharmacies, traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy, preparation room,inpatient pharmacy, Jian'an pharmacy, drug storage, prescription review center, clinical pharmacy, and quality control management. It is equipped with automated dispensing machines, single-dose packaging machines, a pre-dispensing review system for rational drug use, and an intelligent traditional Chinese medicine decoction system. The department currently employs 86 pharmacy professionals, with 15 members in the clinical pharmacy team. And it inculdes 3 chief pharmacists and 10 deputy chief pharmacists with 2 PhDs and 16 Master degrees.
Multi-terminal, multi-area, real-time monitoring pre-auditing party
In April 2020, the pre-trial prescription system for rational drug use was launched. The unified prescription review standards were established for hospitals union, community healthcare center and Internet hospital, and standardized prescription review services were provided to reduce the risk of drug use in community healthcare center and regions with shortage of doctors and drugs, and it improves doctors' diagnosis and treatment, promotes rational clinical drug use and ensures patients' drug use safety.
Intelligent ancient method traditional chinese medicine decocting system
The intelligent traditional Chinese medicine decoction system utilizes a customized electric ceramic stove with 8 levels and 3 modes, adhering to traditional methods while ensuring standardized decoction quality. It implements an information management system, where barcodes are linked to patient information, allowing real-time tracking of the decoction process, with full traceability. The system also features visual monitoring to enable real-time tracking of each step, including preparation, soaking, decoction, packaging, and dispensing. The decoction service covers the Baoan hospital, Shiyan hospital, all community healthcare centers, and internet hospitals, with home delivery available . The intelligent traditional Chinese medicine decoction system won second place in the Shenzhen Innovation Competition of the 5th Smart Healthcare Contest and has filed for one national invention patent and two utility model patents.
Clinical pharmacy
The Pharmacy Department adopts a "patient-centered" approach to implement the clinical pharmacist service system, providing refined and individualized clinical pharmacy services to support precision medicine. Currently, there are 13 clinical pharmacists who have passed the national training certification. They are involved in clinical pharmacy work in various departments, including antimicrobial therapy, anticoagulant therapy, intensive care, oncology, respiratory medicine, cardiology, endocrinology and metabolism, gastroenterology, and pediatrics. Services provided include pharmacy rounds, consultation for complex cases, Pharmaceutical Care, drug counseling, patient medication education, antimicrobial stewardship, prescription analysis and evaluation, and the integration of medical and preventive care in community healthcare.
The Pharmacy Department always prioritizes drug quality and focuses on patient safety in medication use. With the goal of ensuring the correct preparation of medications for patients, the department actively engages in clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical management services, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to clinicians and patients.
