The Osteoporosis Department was established at the end of 2018 and is located in Room 729 on the seventh floor of the Outpatient Building. Our team currently has 3 physicians, including 1 chief physician and 2 resident physicians (2 with Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and 1 with Master of Medicine(M.M.)). It is the only independent Osteoporosis Department in Shenzhen City specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of various types of osteoporosis. The Department offers the following medical services:
1.Diagnosis and treatment of various types of osteoporosis, including postmenopausal osteoporosis, senile osteoporosis, osteoporosis during pregnancy and lactation, male osteoporosis, idiopathic osteoporosis. It provides standardized treatment and management, including medication, nutrition, and exercise guidance.
2.Treatment of secondary osteoporosis caused by conditions such as liver disease, diabetes, kidney disease, organ transplantation, gastrointestinal disorders, and medications (e.g., prednisone, anticonvulsants, anticoagulants, antiviral drugs for hepatitis B, etc.).
3.Provide detailed diagnostic and comprehensive treatment plans for bone health in women of reproductive age and children, with guidance on calcium and vitamin D supplementation.
4.Provide comprehensive management for other bone and joint disorders, including the treatment of diseases such as osteoarthritis, rickets, osteogenesis imperfecta, and cartilage developmental disorders.
