The International Hospital Accreditation Standards (China) (2021 Edition) received official recognition from the International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association (SQua EEA) in February 2022. As China's first hospital accreditation standard to achieve international recognition, this milestone marks a critical step forward in the internationalization of China's hospital accreditation process and will undoubtedly play a significant role in advancing the development of international hospital accreditation worldwide. Shenzhen Bao'an Women's and Children's Hospital initiated the accreditation process in July 2025. Following guidance and corrective actions provided by the expert team from the Shenzhen Health Administration Evaluation and Research Center, and with the approval of the Center, the hospital is scheduled to undergo an international hospital accreditation survey from June 9 to 12, 2026, based on the International Hospital Accreditation Standards (China) (2021 Edition).
