The Pre-pregnancy (Premarital) Eugenics Department, also known as the Physical Examination Department, was founded in 2017. It is the main provider of free premarital and pre-pregnancy medical examinations in Bao’an District, offering a green channel for reproductive health guidance and specialized treatment to support eugenics and good child-rearing. The department advances the prevention of birth defects, reduces or eliminates risk factors leading to adverse pregnancy outcomes, and improves the quality of the newborn population.
