The Ophthalmology Dept of Shenzhen Bao'an Women's and Children's Hospital was founded in 1996. At present, the annual outpatient volume exceeds 30,000 visits, with nearly 1,000 outpatient operations and more than 10,000 outpatient treatments per year.

Diagnosis and treatment of pediatric refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, anisometropia) and amblyopia
Diagnosis of strabismus
Surgical treatment of lacrimal apparatus diseases, entropion, eyelid tumors, etc.
Diagnosis and treatment of ocular surface diseases
Emergency treatment of common ocular injuries (eyelid laceration, ocular chemical injury, ocular contusion, etc.)
The department has fully carried out retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening, diagnosis and referral, and became a member unit of the Shenzhen ROP Screening Alliance at the end of 2017.
