The Reproductive Health Dept is a featured specialty of Shenzhen Bao'an Women's and Children's Hospital, and the first reproductive endocrinology specialty in Shenzhen. Since its establishment in July 2004, it has undertaken extensive clinical, research, and teaching work in reproductive endocrinology, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and related disorders.
The department currently has 9 physicians and 1 nurse, including 1 PhD, 3 master’s degree holders, 1 senior professional title, 7 associate senior professional titles, and 2 intermediate professional titles. It boasts solid professional foundations, exquisite techniques, and advanced concepts.
To provide standardized and refined medical care, the department comprises four sections: Infertility Section, Adolescent Healthcare Section, Perimenopausal Healthcare Section, and Male Reproductive Health Section.
Infertility Section
It provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for infertility causes and female fertility.
Tubal patency is assessed by radiological hysterosalpingography and 4D hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography, with high safety and accuracy.
Systematic and individualized management is provided for anovulatory or ovulatory disorders including polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperprolactinemia, diminished ovarian reserve in advanced age, and hypothalamic-pituitary amenorrhea.
Ovulation induction achieves an ovulation rate >80% and cycle pregnancy rate 10%–15%.
Hysteroscopic management of intrauterine disorders causing infertility and recurrent implantation failure (intrauterine adhesion, endometrial polyps, chronic endometritis, uterine septum, etc.) using cold-knife dissection to protect endometrium and fertility.
Scientific and precise miscarriage prevention for recurrent miscarriage achieves a live birth rate of 80%.
While actively applying for assisted reproductive technology (ART) qualification, the department provides ART-related services including pre-ART evaluation and consultation, ovulation induction, endometrial preparation for frozen-thawed embryo transfer, and post-transfer miscarriage prevention in cooperation with leading reproductive centers.
Male Reproductive Health Section
It diagnoses and treats male infertility, oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, male reproductive system infections, and sexual dysfunction.

Perimenopausal Healthcare Section
It provides perimenopausal health guidance, disease screening, and long-term complication risk assessment. It realizes early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of perimenopausal disorders including abnormal uterine bleeding, perimenopausal syndrome, and osteoporosis.
Adolescent Healthcare Section
It provides adolescent health guidance and treats adolescent menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, abnormal adolescent development, Turner syndrome, and related diseases.
