The Adult Internal Medicine Dept currently has 7 physicians, including 1 Chief Physician, 1 Associate Chief Physician, 4 Attending Physicians, and 1 Resident Physician; among them, 1 holds a doctoral degree and 4 hold master’s degrees.
The department is responsible for the clinical practice, teaching, and scientific research of adult internal medicine diseases in the hospital. It provides diagnosis, treatment, and consultation services for common and frequently occurring internal medical diseases as well as some complicated diseases for pregnant women, patients from Gynecology, Breast and Thyroid Surgery Dept, and other adult patients, and participates in the treatment of critically ill patients. It has accumulated rich clinical experience especially in the diagnosis and treatment of pregnancy complicated with internal medical diseases, such as cough, pneumonia, pleural effusion, hypertension, cardiac insufficiency, arrhythmia, thyroid dysfunction, various infectious diseases, digestive system diseases, and diabetes mellitus.

Dr.Li specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult respiratory diseases in adults, especially chronic cough, infection, pleural effusion, pulmonary nodules, tuberculosis, and respiratory failure. Li Lian has rich clinical experience in pregnancy complicated with internal medical diseases (cough, asthma, hypertension, infection, digestive tract diseases, thyroid diseases, etc.) and has participated in the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill pregnant women for many times.

Li Lian has engaged in clinical, teaching, research, and management work in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of a tertiary-A general teaching hospital for more than 20 years. Li Lian has studied at the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the Department of Occupational Diseases of the Fourth West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.
