On the afternoon of September 6, 2023, the 5th Congress of the Communist Youth League of Shenzhen Bao'an Women's and Children's Hospital was successfully held in the hospital’s academic lecture hall. The meeting reviewed the work report of the 4th League Committee and elected a new leading group. Ye Guofang, Secretary of the Health Bureau Communist Youth League Working Committee; Zhu Yuanfang, Party Secretary and President of the hospital; Luo Kai, Full-time Deputy Party Secretary; Huang Yanmei and Zhang Quanfu, Vice Presidents; Party Committee members, together with more than 70 youth representatives, attended the congress.
The meeting consisted of five agenda items. First, Ye Guofang read out the official approval document for the league committee reelection. Subsequently, Luo Kai delivered an opening speech, affirming the dedicated work of the previous league committee and expecting the newly elected team to forge ahead with perseverance and diligence.

Thereafter, Zhong Ming, Secretary of the 4th Youth League Committee, delivered the Work Report of the 4th Youth League Committee of Shenzhen Bao'an Women's and Children's Hospital. The report summarized the achievements of the previous term and provided guidance for the work of the new committee.

Subsequently, nine candidates for league committee members delivered individual speeches. Combining professional experience and personal insights, the candidates illustrated their understanding of league work and personal strengths from diverse perspectives. The informative and vivid presentations brought together youthful ideas and insightful expressions for all attendees. Following the speeches, a new leading team of the Youth League Committee was elected by secret ballot in accordance with electoral regulations.

At the closing ceremony, Zhu Yuanfang, Party Secretary and President of the hospital, delivered a speech. He fully recognized the work and achievements of the current Youth League Committee and put forward three requirements for the new team. First, the committee shall follow the Party’s overall deployment, prioritize high-quality maternal and child healthcare development, seize development opportunities, optimize service procedures, improve medical service quality, and build a trustworthy and satisfactory specialized maternal and child hospital. Second, the committee shall build service platforms for young employees, support career growth, professional training and social communication, and create a reliable and warm platform for young staff. Third, all medical staff shall uphold the original aspiration of medical practitioners, continuously improve professional capabilities, adhere to the people-oriented and life-first principle, and build an outstanding young medical team with responsibility, professionalism and ethics.
